8 Weeks Postpartum
What I’m Wearing & Using Most with My Newborns
Now that I’m officially 8 weeks postpartum (how did that happen so fast?!), I wanted to share a real-life update on what’s actually getting used daily—with twins in tow—and what I’m living in as a new mama.
Pregnancy was all about preparation (you can read my Pregnancy Must-Haves blog here), but the fourth trimester is a whole different season. Comfort, simplicity, and products that truly work have become my new non-negotiables.
So here’s my honest list of postpartum and newborn must-haves that are saving my sleep, my organization sanity, and my style right now:
What I’m Actually Wearing (on Repeat)
Loungewear Sets
Soft, stretchy, and easy to feed in. I have a few matching sets that make me feel put together even on no-sleep days. Bonus: I can answer the door or hop on a Zoom without changing!
My favorite is from Bumpsuit. I’m still living in all my maternity pieces from Bumpsuit—the soft, stretchy fabric fits perfectly postpartum and feels amazing on my skin.
The Lucy Maternity Unitard (I wore this and the Kate Maternity Unitard)
Off-Shoulder Dress (pink for special events)
Robes with Pockets
This is a game-changer. Whether I’m feeding, burping, or pacing the hallway at 2 a.m., I need a robe that holds bottles, pacifiers, cellphone—whatever I grab in a rush. This waffle robe from One Wednesday is my favorite, and Sophie, the founder, is local here in Vancouver! @sophieccollins
Compression Garments
My postpartum recovery outfit was recommended by my C-section coach—and I wear them day and night. I’ve noticed a huge difference in healing and support. Here’s the exact pair I use from SRC Health. And if you’re wondering which course is for my C-section recovery, Janette Yee helped me get back on track post-delivery with her incredible coaching. I also shared a recent Instagram reel on my exact team that helped me get back into shape with my recovery and had me skiing after 7 weeks.
C-Section Recovery Win
This isn’t just a skiing pic—it’s a recovery win. My postpartum healing journey (especially after a C-section) has been all about support, intention, and the right team.
Jean Chambray Button Up
I’ve also been loving the Chambray Button Up from One Wednesday Shop—it’s lightweight, easy to throw on, and instantly makes me feel more put-together (even on three hours of sleep!).
Newborn Must-Haves (for Twins or Singles!)
Evereden Golden Belly Stretch Mark Serum
I used Evereden Golden Belly Stretch Mark Serum daily throughout my pregnancy, alternating with the Nehmah oil I mentioned in my pregnancy must-haves. Postpartum, I’ve grown to love this oil even more—it’s incredibly hydrating, gives my skin a gorgeous glow, and is made with clean ingredients. And the best part? I didn’t get a single stretch mark. Yes, maybe genetics played a role—but I truly believe these two products made a difference.
Oilo Studio Glider/Recliner
I use this recliner every single day—because with 8 feeds a day x 2 babies, comfort is non-negotiable.
I was on the hunt for a chair that didn’t scream “traditional nursery” (no offense to Lazy Boys, but they’re just not my vibe). I wanted something that looked beautiful in our space and actually functioned for a new mom.
Oilo Studio kept popping up on my Instagram—and I was instantly hooked. The aesthetic is gorgeous, the design is thoughtful, and honestly, while I was still pregnant, it was the only chair that felt truly comfortable. Now that the twins are here, it’s been my go-to spot for feeding, cuddles, and even a few much-needed cat naps.
Highly recommend for any mama-to-be who refuses to sacrifice style for function.
K’Pure Naturals Overachiever
Still using this cream daily—my hands are drier than ever with all the diaper changes and constant handwashing, and this multi-use balm continues to save them. The babies love it too—it’s so soft, made with all-natural ingredients, and safe for their little bums. Plus, it’s my friend’s company, which makes it even more special to support.
Armadillo Baby Carrier by Bumpsuit
It’s sleek, functional, and honestly, Instagram-worthy. I use it all the time—even while writing this blog, I’ve got one twin tucked in the carrier! It’s comfortable, supportive, and adds a stylish touch to any outfit. Definitely one of our most-used baby items.
Postpartum Beauty Staples I’m Actually Using
Even with twins and minimal sleep, I still love taking a few moments each day to feel more like me. These beauty staples are quick, clean, and perfect for postpartum skin.
ILIA Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40
A skin-perfecting tint that acts as your serum, SPF, and light coverage all in one. Hydrating, dewy, and clean—this has been my go-to since pregnancy.
✨ Perfect for no-makeup makeup days.
ILIA Skin Rewind Complexion Stick Foundation
For days when I need a bit more coverage (like when we have visitors), this foundation stick is everything. Easy to apply one-handed, super blendable, and still gives a natural finish.
✨ Glides on smooth and covers in seconds.
ILIA Limitless Lash Mascara
This mascara is lightweight, buildable, and gives the perfect lift without clumping. I love that it’s clean, gentle on my lashes, and easy to remove at the end of a long day (or night!).
✨ Made with shea butter and keratin, it conditions while it defines—perfect for tired, sensitive postpartum eyes.
Bonus: Mindset, Giving Back & a Must-Have Sparkle
The babies are growing so fast, and I’ve already found myself with things we didn’t end up using or that they’ve quickly outgrown—like preemie outfits we had ready at home.
Since our twins spent two weeks in the NICU, we became so familiar with the incredible staff and the level of care they gave us. It felt natural to donate those gently used and unused items back to the hospital where they were born. They welcomed them with open arms, and I can’t recommend this enough if you're in a similar situation. Those early NICU moments stay with you—and giving back felt like a full-circle thank you.
As an organizer at heart, I’ve also learned that setting up micro-stations around the house makes life smoother. One for diapering, one for feeding, and one by the bed with water and snacks for me. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about being prepared.
And speaking of being prepared… I’m still drinking Glimmer—and it’s truly a must now that we’re getting visitors to meet the twins. Having a bottle chilled and ready to pour makes entertaining feel effortless (which is essential when you barely have time to shower!). With only 22 calories per glass, completely alcohol-free, and instantly adds a sense of celebration to your space. Glimmer is truly my go-to hostess hack right now.
If you're in this phase too, I hope this list helps you feel a little more seen and supported. Every mom’s journey is different, but we all deserve comfort, ease, and a little sparkle along the way ✨
